ranked.yml holds the credentials for the ranked service. Ranked mode connects to a central ranked service for queues, ratings and match results — it requires a valid API token and access to the ranked service backend, both of which are part of the license rather than a separate subscription.

#What it connects

• The central ranked service — queues, ratings and match results
• Automated matchmaking — games are created when enough similarly-rated players are ready
• ELO ratings and seasons — every ranked match affects ratings, with seasons that can reset periodically
• Tournament NPCs — seasonal lobby NPCs with rules, leaderboards and one-click queue entry
• The holographic leaderboard — a real-time top-players display synchronized across the network
